This restaurant emphasized the importance of how a properly trained bartender can make or break your experience. Not to mention the chips and salsa will cost you $4.99. Even though they are made in house I would advise you to steer clear of them. The tacos with rice and beans were flavorful and filling but it didn't make up for the lack of experience of the woman tending bar, a poor server's attitude and overpriced watered down drinks. Thoroughly disappointed and will not be going back.
I came in when the restaurant was completely dead, which should of meant I should of been served quickly, however I stood by the door waiting for almost 15 minutes only to be treated poorly. Unsatisfactory Service. Disappointed. Food quality; amazing.

Went here while on vacation in Manteo on a Saturday. Had been walking around and realized this was the joint on diners drive ins and dives. Granted it was early but the place was empty. Staff was aloof but nice. Seemed caught off guard that customers would actually walk through the doors (if you aren't ready then keep the door locked until you are). Food was expensive and not really all that good. Not bad---just way way over hyped. Lots of flies in the dining room. I doubt I would ever bother coming back here.
Friendly service and good food. The chicken wings are really tasty. I love the sauce on them, just wish they were a little crispier. My husband got the Papi dish with the pulled pork and rice and beans although good it lacked a little on the flavor so he got hot sauce to spice it up. I'd definitely go back to try some other things.
