Some of the nicest, most friendly folks on the Outer Banks here, and they know their trade better than most. From guiding to retail they know it all.
I was visiting the area and wanted to get a dive in. I sent a few emails asking for some info and was a little surprised by some of the replies that were one or two words ,very direct. Finally I called and spoke to Matt. He couldn't have been nicer, very friendly and eager to help and answer any questions.
Then I was told there would be a charge for canceling within 24 hours just like it says on the website. Only problem was I booked it in the store not online and wasn't told anything of the sort. I was not charged.
the following morning there were thunderstorms in the area. I'm not sure if the dive was cancelled or not due to weather but found there were no divers at the site that morning.
Had great time diving with them! Great staff! ONLY complaint....the shop was not open during posted hours of operation.
Great people, I had some equipment problems, my own fault but they took care of it. The owners run the shop and the boat. Very knowledgeable about the diving, wrecks, history and conditions. Made the diving a great experience. Will definitely visit again.
Once we arrived in NC I stopped at the dive shop met Matt and booked a beach dive and arranged for rental gear I was told no charges would be applied to a card until after I had dived, a couple days later I drove by the dive site making sure I could find it the following morning. There was a sign stating due to a beach project diving was not advised / dangerous. Later that day received a call from a woman ( didn't get her name ) she had called to confirm the dive. When I asked about the sign she dismissed it and began to question all the rental equipment sizes I had requested. She was rude and tone seemingly became increasingly annoyed and she questioned whether I was in shape or comfortable enough to dive in the ocean. She had never met or seen me, had no idea where I was from or my level of experience and went on to say their were other divers that wanted to go on this dive and maybe I should reconsider.I wasn't happy with the way I was being treated and decided to cancel my spot before any charges were incurred.
Rented kayaks for the day they delivered to where you want to put out on the island and could call them for pick up . Very nice and friendly
