Very nice place.
Without a doubt , one of the most amazing lodging or inn experiences I’ve ever had. Views, history, charm, class, location, style - it has everything one could want in a place to sleep when on vacation. The best thing about this place is Dee , the innkeeper. She’ll take good care of you, help you solves problems both big and small, and leave you feeling like you made a friend for life. You’re an idiot if you don’t stay here when you can afford to do so.
My wife and I needed a little getaway weekend; this was the perfect place. The Inn is beautiful. The Inn keepers, Dee and Sarah, are wonderfully friendly, and make you feel instantly welcome. We took full advantage of the bikes the Inn supplies, and road the quaint streets of the town and park. The proximity to shops and restaurants is great. You won't need your car after arriving. I spent much of my time relaxing in the reception area (pictured) reading. The only complaint that could be made, is the mattress in our room was too firm. That said, after a full day on the island, we slept like rocks. We will not hesitate to stay here again.
Cute, comfortable and cozy with gorgeous views and stunning furniture and decor. The pantry setup in the lobby is a game changer and the near silence the permeates the nighttime here make this the perfect destination for a week(end) escape or more. Dee is incredibly nice and seems to redefine courtesy in her innkeeping that is reminiscent of a time when hotels were homes with extra rooms for rent and not the concrete cubby holes for humans of today.
It was our first visit. Accomodations, cleanliness, etc were great. Dee is a jewel! We wanted a low key weekend escape and this absolutely fit the bill. The Roanke's property allows one to easily shut out the world as well as affording easy access to all you need if you choose to venture out again. Wonderful!!
