This place is great to take your kids! We are a homeschool family and just visited because my 4th grader is doing NC history. The price is reasonable and all of the exhibits are interactive and you can learn a lot. The museum also is full of things the kids can actually do. We LOVED it and and I would go back and I highly recommend

Great place! Very interesting. Great film. Neat ship! I love the museum gift shop. I wish they would replenish the fossil pit!

Well worth the $10.00. A walk through history in colonial times. Visit Indian villages, colonies, Elizabethan II ship and more, all with hands on activities and real actors.

A great little venue for fun summer concerts! They bring in food trucks and usually have a beer truck. You're not supposed to bring in your own food or drinks. You are supposed to bring lawn chairs, lawn games, hula hoops, whatever you need for a good time! Bathrooms are ample and clean, but I don't think there is a water fountain. There are nice boardwalks on the sound all around the park

Spent two days here for the 2017 Bluegrass Festival. One of the most gorgeous stages I have ever seen. The back doors open out to the water and it created some beautiful sights. I would return for events in the fall weather or in the summer evenings. The afternoon sun and lack of shade made it extremely uncomfortable at times and due to the layout there is a lack of wind to help cool you off. My party and I were able to find free street parking within the town of Manteo rather easily. Good choice of vendors at the event. All in all a good experience and the great view plus sound team make up for the small annoyances of lack of shade and long bathroom lines.
