Great cafe for a quick bite or meal. Came here to try the sandwiches, which were amazing and reasonably priced. Orders are processed and brought out fast by friendly and polite staff.
Love this place. One of my favorite places to have lunch with my husband. Locally family owned, cozy restaurant, delicious sandwiches and wraps. Also serves homemade baked goods and numerous flavors of ice cream with best prices in town. The hungry pelican serves a gourmet grill cheese that is to die for, and their signature sandwich, angry bird. A place not to miss in downtown manteo.
This is a great little deli shop with a wonderful variety of sandwiches, salads and desserts as well as friendly staff and a clean and cozy setting. We went back twice during our vacation to OBX because we enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
If the sign on the door says”open at 11” and it’s 11:10 and the door is open, a good way to lose customers is to tell them “we’re not Open yet” when they come in.
Family owned and operated. Big variety of sandwiches n deli meats. Quaint and down home, good service. Had the smoked sausage sandwich. Very tasty.
